Diversity in Film industry MetExpo 2019

During MetExpo 2019 in Sydney there was a full day schedule for cinematographers. Kicked off by ACS president Ron Johanson with a seminar on the evolution into large format cinematography. Pawel Achtel ACS informed us about the colour science of the new large format cameraswith in depth test results. Tom Gleeson ACS and Velinda Wardell ACS shared stories of the more practical differences.

The session was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Erika Addis ACS on diversity before Peter James ACS showed his beautiful work on “Ladies in Black”.

Via Skype we were connected with Matthew Chuang ACS in Los Angeles and Allan Collins ACS brought his Indigenous Australian roots into the mix of cinematographers in the room.
